Who we are

Stret Limited (formerly Stretton Electrical) is a multi-trade contractor based at 88B Springhill Road, Burntwood, Staffordshire, WS7 4UJ. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us on 07812 971397 or at info@stret.co.uk.

What we collect

• Details you type into our enquiry form: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, postcode, the service you're interested in and what you tell us about the job.
• Details you give us by phone, email or Facebook message when arranging a quote or a job, including the property address we need to attend.
• Records connected with work we carry out: quotes, invoices, and electrical certificates and test results where the job requires them.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and price the work you've asked about.
• To arrange access, carry out the job and complete any certification.
• To invoice you and keep the records we're required to keep.
• To honour the 1-year guarantee on all work, which means keeping enough detail about the work to come back to it.

The lawful bases we rely on are performing a contract with you, taking steps before entering one, our legitimate interest in running the business, and legal obligations such as electrical notification and tax record keeping.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information and we don't pass it on for marketing. We share only what's necessary with:

• NAPIT, for registering and notifying electrical work where the regulations require it.
• Building Control, where a job requires it.
• Our accountant, insurers, and the suppliers and software we use to send enquiries, quotes and invoices.
• Other trades on your project, where co-ordinating access or works makes that necessary.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into work are kept for up to 12 months. Records relating to completed jobs, invoices, certificates and test results, are kept for at least six years, which covers both our tax obligations and the period during which questions about the work can reasonably arise.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it, object to how we're using it, or ask us to restrict that use. Email info@stret.co.uk or call 07812 971397 and we'll deal with it. If you're not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and this website

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Pages that embed a Google map load content from Google, which may set its own cookies, you can block that in your browser settings without affecting the rest of the site.
