If you've used us before, you'll know us as Stretton Electrical.
Sam Stretton started the business in August 2024 at the age of 29, having worked in construction since he was 16. He served an electrical apprenticeship, then went on to run his father's company until he retired, looking after all aspects of electrical, groundworks and construction work along the way.
As the business took on groundworks contracts and broader construction work, the name Stretton Electrical no longer described what it did. It became Stret Limited so the name matched the work: a bit of everything, rather than electrical only.
Nothing else changed. Same owner, same phone number, same standard of work, and the same reviews from the electrical side of the business, which we've kept on this site exactly as they were written.

Why has the name changed from Stretton Electrical to Stret?
The business took on groundworks contracts and wider construction work, and Sam renamed it Stret Limited so the name reflected everything it now covers rather than electrical only. Same owner, same team, same phone number.
How do you price work?
On day rates, which vary depending on the operatives a job needs. Because the mix of work varies so much we don't publish figures or 'from' prices: Sam will give you a price for your specific job.
Do you take a deposit?
Sometimes. On some jobs we ask for 25% up front; on others we don't. It depends on the job and it's agreed with you before anything starts.
Are you insured?
Yes: £5 million public liability, £10 million employer's liability and £250,000 professional indemnity.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, there's a 1-year guarantee, and it applies the same way across all four trades rather than varying by service.
What qualifications do you hold?
The company is NAPIT registered and F-Gas certified. Sam holds City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing, the 18th Edition wiring regulations and a Gold ECS card. All other operatives hold CSCS or ECS cards.
